Comprehensive Eye Examination
A comprehensive eye examination is a set of tests used to detect issues within the eye. If a problem
is identified, additional diagnostics may be required.
The exam includes evaluation of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye and consists of:
Refraction – measuring diopters using a refractometer
Tonometry – measuring intraocular pressure
Visual acuity (Visus) – assessing sharpness of vision with and without glasses
Pachymetry – measuring corneal thickness
Slit-lamp examination – evaluation of the anterior and posterior segments

Additional tests may include:
Perimetry – visual field testing
OCT – Optical Coherence Tomography
USG – Ultrasonography
We recommend a comprehensive eye examination once a year or every two years for individuals
under 40.
